MATETSI – UNIT 3
We currently have quota available in Matetsi Unit 3. Unit 3 is located in the prime location which forms the corner bounded in the south by Hwange National Park, west by the Zimbabwe/Botswana international border, the north by Matetsi Unit 2 and the East by Matetsi Unit 5.
Unit 3 consistently produces large elephant and averages over 50 pounds aside each season, bulls in excess of 65 pounds are regularly taken. Buffalo and lion are numerous whereas leopard are around but never easy, it is leopard. ?
Matetsi is famous for producing world-class sable and Unit 3 is no exception, other species in abundance are kudu, waterbuck, zebra, giraffe, impala, hyena and warthog. In addition to the ‘big game’ hunting, clients can also take a day off to enjoy an afternoon of superb bird hunting, particularly – guinea fowl, francolin and sand grouse.
Access to Unit 3 is from Victoria Falls International Airport a relatively short 1-hour drive. This, in turn, makes for side trips to the Victoria Falls for sight-seeing and shopping easy to arrange if observers join in on the safari.
Lodging is in a luxurious remodelled lodge with some tents available on request. All the rooms in the lodge are air-conditioned. With a swimming pool overlooking a vast valley of grass and water, a lot of elephants and other plains game are spotted from the lodge and pool area.

Your safari will start at historic Victoria Falls which has daily flights and is the safest tourism area in Zimbabwe.
The hunting area offers abundant Elephant, Cape Buffalo, Leopard, Lion, Hippo, Crocodile and Plains Game. Our partner’s areas encompass more than 500,00 acres lying along the south-east shore of Lake Kariba. This truly remote hunting area boasts one of the highest quality of hippo and crocodile. The areas have very good plains game in addition to the excellent Big Game.
The area comprised of Mopani forest and Volcanic ridges which when combined offers outstanding habitat while still be accessible to hunters of all abilities.
The area has one of the best runways in the country which makes getting to the safari area very easy if you do not prefer a 4-hour drive from Victoria Falls.
